If you have a question about gastric reduction surgery or want to start treatment quickly, you’ve come to the right place

At WeightWorks, everything is about stomach reductions. As a result, we have a very efficient process and can help many people in a shorter time.

Because our focus is entirely on gastric reductions, we are not hampered in our care by emergency procedures or waiting lists of other specialists. In many places and hospitals, for example, you may have to wait up to a year or even longer. With us, you’re quick on your feet and we’re happy to help you get on the road to a healthy weight.

From approval screening to surgery

All Criteria at a glance:

  • You are between 18 to 70 years of age
  • Your BMI is higher than 40 or has been in the past.

  • Your BMI is higher than 35 and you already have a disease associated with your obesity. For example: high blood pressure or diabetes. But the list is much longer. Feel free to ask us if you qualify. With diabetes, a BMI of 30 is sometimes sufficient.

  • It helps if you have been to a dietitian before and are familiar with basic knowledge about healthy eating.
  • If you have an eating disorder, it should be treated before you have surgery. An eating disorder may consist of abnormal eating behaviors or eating patterns. Bouts of greed are among them.
  • You must not have serious psychological problems at the time of surgery. Use of antidepressants is not an objection to surgery.
  • You must not be addicted to alcohol, medication or drugs.

  • You must speak and understand Dutch or English well. it is not enough if a family member translates everything for you.
